Looking for a Good Reason to Support Spencer Cox? We've Got 248 Join Us
Utah has 248 incorporated towns and cities—many of which statewide candidates have never even seen. That’s why when Abby and I decided to run for governor, we wanted to do something that’s never been done: visit every one of them.
And perform service projects in as many communities as possible along the way.
Isn’t it time for less talk and more action? We think so. If you agree, please join us.

Service Projects in Your Community

Bountiful - October 25 2019
The Bountiful Historic Museum is working to preserve local stories and educate the community about those who made our way of life possible in Davis County. Our team laid sod for their lawn as part of a renovation effort. Although you typically get what you pay for, the curators have recently let us know that the grass is still doing well!
Mount Pleasant - September 28 2019
Mount Pleasant is Abby’s hometown and was our final #Cox248 final stop in rural Utah. After a long day of travel and service, our project was cleaning manure out of horse stalls.
It was hard work. As soon as we finished, the stable owner led Spencer, Abby, and their daughter Emma Kate to three beautiful, saddled horses and let them ride while the sun went down. Whether shoveling or riding, moments like these are what make Sanpete home.
Cedar City - September 4 2019
18 years ago, Cedar City families rallied to build a new park. They successfully raised $500,000 in private funds and organized 7,000 volunteers to complete the project––known today as Park Discovery.
Along with 100 Cedar City residents organized by the Iron Republican County Women, Team Cox assisted with maintenance efforts for the local city parks department.
Our evening was spent painting wooden playgrounds and spreading new wood chips throughout the park with students from Southern Utah University, community members, local legislators and our beloved and now-missed friend, Fred Adams.
Hildale - August 28 2019
Hildale is a beautiful town with a well-documented history. In recent years, residents have united to heal together and rebuild their community.
Working with the mayor and local high school and elementary students, we improved beautiful Maxwell Park by creating a small retaining wall. At the base of breathtaking red rock cliffs, the stories of Hildale’s success are inspiring.
La Verkin - August 27 2019
Spencer and Abby spent an evening working in Confluence Park, a popular destination in La Verkin, to clear weeds and debris from an old electrical station at the bottom of the ravine. It was hot and dusty work but we had a great time talking with neighbors and community groups as we cleared the way for a gorgeous trailhead.
St. George - August 26 2019
Switchpoint is a community resource center dedicated to empowering homeless individuals and families. In 107 degree heat, we helped lay new sod, completing a project which had been needed for years. Switchpoint is an excellent example of neighbors serving each other to ensure all members of their community are treated with respect first and foremost.
Logan - August 1 2019
True Aggies themselves, Spencer and Abby were excited to return to their alma mater by giving the “A” a fresh coat of paint before school started last fall.
Students from the university, local elected officials, and community residents each took a turn as Spencer and Abby remembered what it was like to be newlyweds living on a shoestring budget in beautiful Cache Valley.
Perry - July 29 2019
One of Utah’s most charming live theaters, Heritage Theater in Perry is a historical treasure celebrating 50 years of operation in 2020! We joined with our friends in Perry to rake fallen pine needles and beautify the grounds surrounding the theater. The arts are thriving in our rural communities!
Price - June 24 2019
Castle Heights Elementary School borders the local cemetery. It was difficult for students who had lost siblings to have that reminder every day so more than 100 local residents joined the Cox campaign to place slats in the chain-link fence between the school and the cemetery. It was a simple act that made a big impact.
Wallsburg - June 4 2019
Following Memorial Day 2019, the Cox campaign cleaned Wallsburg cemetery to pick up and discard wilted flowers that had been lovingly placed at gravesites by family and community members in weeks prior.
Watching neighbors come together to remember the people who built towns, strengthened relationships, fought for our freedoms, and laid the foundations of what their communities will become is inspiring.
Not Politics As Usual
We're running a different kind of political campaign. Watch the videos to learn how.
